What is a photocatalyst?
When titanium dioxide, which is a photocatalyst, is exposed to sunlight or room light,
the electrons (e-) and holes (h+) in titanium dioxide react with oxygen and water in the air.
In this process, two types of reactive oxygen species with decomposition power,
"superoxide anion" and "hydroxyl radicals," are generated on the surface of titanium dioxide.
In addition, the surface becomes easy to get wet with water, and when it gets wet with rainwater, it gets under the dirt and floats up, causing the dirt to run off. It also has an anti-fog effect.
